    Palindrome Mobius Cowl
A non-knitting friend brought me a gift from her visit to Alaska. 167 yards of homespun yarn that she believed the spinner had said contained llama and dog hair.

I chose the Palindrome Scarf pattern to showcase the yarn and to be totally reversable. I used a provisional cast on and upon completion I gave it a half-twist and grafted the ends together.

A good soak in Eucalan brightened the colors and softened the scarf. It will soon be cold enough to wear this in Michigan!

    Snowdrift Stole
I recently completed the Snowdrift Stole from Blackberry Ridge.

New technique for me was entrelac.

I ordered the kit that came with thistledown wool. The stole took approximately 110 hours to complete. 50 to complete the center panel and another 60 to do the edging.

Pre-blocking, it was approximately 20x40 and after blocking 28x50.

If I were to do this pattern over, I would have added at least two more rows of entrelac squares to the center panel.

I found the pattern a bit confusing when I started the edging, so I took what I KNEW and started in a different location. Ultimately, the pattern did work although I had a one stitch discrepancy from the end of a corner to the start of the next edging pattern sequence. I do not know if it was pattern error or knitter error.

Wet blocking did the typical magic!

Some Recent FO's...Kitty Cozy, Mohair Shawl, Socks!!
I have finally uploaded some pictures of some recent FO's. Photography has never been my strong suit! ...and techno flunkie me has difficulty getting these LJ posts right, so here goes...

Kitty Cozy with Genevere inside was made out of three strands of very nice yarns all held together and then felted. Schaefer Yarns Elaine, Araucania Nature Wool and some leftover single ply alpaca wool. These felted very nicely, but it may be able to use one more go in the washer for shaping...kitty would rather play with it than sleep in it.

The red mohair wrap is made from 3 50gm balls of Paton's Mohair. Pattern was Lacy Wrap from The Pattern Companion Knitting.

Finally, the socks are a Christmas gift. One of my girlfriends commented that she has never had a pair of handknitted socks! No one should ever be able to say that so...Pine Tree Socks in Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock Camo.
